Tour Description
Looking for a private morning food tour in Paris that captures the city’s most iconic ritual — breakfast, done properly? Our Private Paris Morning Food Tour walks your group through the Palais Royal and Rue Montorgueil neighborhoods across 6 stops, designed exclusively for your group, showcasing what many consider the best croissant in Paris.
Inspired by Chef Joshua Weissman’s culinary adventure on this same route, the tour explores French breakfast culture through its most iconic foods: buttery croissants, artisan chocolates, decadent cheeses, exceptional teas, and a baguette that makes you understand why Parisians queue for them. From the innovative creations of L’Eclair de Genie to the traditional craftsmanship of Jeffrey Cagnes, your private guide leads you through the evolution of how Paris really eats first thing in the morning.

What Makes Palais Royal and Les Halles Special
Sitting at the heart of Paris, this area blends royal grandeur with everyday Parisian energy. The Palais Royal enchants with its serene arcaded gardens, hidden tea salons, and elegant bistros tucked beneath its colonnades — a peaceful escape just steps from the city’s bustle.
Les Halles, once Paris’s legendary central food market (the “Belly of Paris”), still carries that culinary spirit today. Its surrounding streets are packed with bustling brasseries, wine bars, and specialty food shops. From a steaming bowl of French onion soup to fresh oysters on a sidewalk terrace, this neighborhood remains one of the city’s most vibrant crossroads of food, history, and daily life.

What’s included in the price of the private morning tour?
All food and drinks across 6 stops, the three-croissant tasting competition, Viennese coffee, French tea, hot chocolate, your dedicated private guide, and a donated meal via World Central Kitchen. No hidden charges, no upsells.
How long is the tour?
This private food tour runs 2.5 hours, with Tuesday–Sunday morning departures at 10:00 am or 10:30 am. Custom timings available for corporate groups on request.
What neighborhood does the tour cover?
The Palais Royal and Les Halles areas — Paris’s 1st and 2nd arrondissements. Royal grandeur, the historic Galerie Vivienne, and the streets that once held the city’s central food market, the “Belly of Paris.”
What is the private group size?
Private bookings are available for 2 to 10 guests. For larger groups, we can arrange a custom experience — get in touch.
How far in advance should I book?
We recommend at least 2 weeks ahead. Corporate groups should book 4+ weeks in advance — and during Paris Fashion Week and major conferences, much earlier.
Can I customize the private tour?
Yes. Stops, pacing, dietary focus, and start time can be adjusted. We can also add cooking classes, wine cellar visits, and Paris day trips through our private tour team.
What’s the minimum age?
This tour is suitable from age 4 and up. The croissant competition is a particular hit with kids.

Are portions enough for a meal?
Yes — you’ll eat at least the equivalent of a full breakfast across the 6 stops. Most guests don’t need lunch until late afternoon.
